Supply Chain Readiness Level: an opportunity for UK industry

On 1st – 2nd of November, 2017 at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, Dr Aristides Matopoulos will be presenting the findings of a project called DISCUS (Drivetrain Integration, Supply Chain Upscaling and Streamlining). The NVN funded project was a collaboration between Aston University, HSSMI, MCT ReMan Ltd and Microcab.

The project aim was to support the development of the UK’s low carbon propulsion supply chain through the upscaling and streamlining of an innovative motor drive system and lightweight Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle. The tool designed as part of this project will enable organisations to assess their Supply Chain Readiness Level by identifying gaps in competencies and capabilities where improvements are required. It will also allow manufacturers to perform in house assessments of the readiness of their own supply chain.
