Niche Vehicle Network

The new grants, to be provided by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) in partnership with Innovate UK and through the Niche Vehicle Network, are in support of two cutting edge advancements of fleet charging technology and smart grids.

The funding comes alongside Hypervolt’s present private equity round, in which they have secured £750k of commitments to date.

Flavian Alexandru, CEO of Hypervolt said:

“We’re delighted to have been selected as winners in these competitions. The support recognises Hypervolt’s role in pushing the boundaries of smart EV charging, positioning Hypervolt and the UK as global frontrunners in the EV revolution. We are very grateful recipients of these funds and look forward to accelerating the UK’s transition to EVs in return.”

In one grant project within the ‘Infrastructure solutions for zero emission vehicles’ competition, funded by OZEV in partnership with Innovate UK, Hypervolt will develop advanced software applications and a number of wireless communication innovations that solve pain points in EV adoption by commercial fleet operators.

In another, an R&D competition funded by OZEV through the Niche Vehicle Network, Hypervolt is developing new functionality in power electronics unique to on-site charging that unlock better data and novel charging modes in fleet charging.
