Quadricycle EV Systems Study - QuESSt

WATT ELECTRIC VEHICLE COMPANY LIMITED

Watt Electric Vehicle Company (WEVC) have successfully developed a number of novel and patented ZEV technologies in light commercial (N1) and passenger (M1) vehicles. This, whilst targeting specialist volume niche sector vehicles, will make a significant contribution on the road to net zero. The QuESSt project will evaluate and simulate innovatively integrating key emerging battery and powertrain technologies to provide a unified lightweight L7e platform for future ultra-efficient passenger and commercial vehicles. Technical and commercial feasibility will be investigated to support a new start up OEM passenger vehicle and WEVC last mile delivery vehicle extending the brands commercial product portfolio.

Electric First Responder Motorcycle (WMC300E+)

WHITE MOTORCYCLE CONCEPTS LTD

Expanding upon work completed through previous NVN projects this feasibility study aims to determine how an electric powertrain might be incorporated into the WMC300FR. The current WMC300FR uses a power assist electric hybrid, combined with the WMC patented duct to reduce CO2 by up to 50%. This feasibility study looks to understand the battery types available to meet the statement of requirements to move this from hybrid into full electric (WMC300E+). Following the completion of the feasibility study the pure electric model will progress through a PoC and then into Production Readiness prior to reaching the market by 2025.

ZERO EMISSIONS MOTORCYCLE

ARIEL ELECTRIC LIMITED

ZEM (Zero Emission Motorcycle) is a project to investigate the feasibility of replacing the conventional ICE drivetrain in a motorcycle with a zero-emission equivalent whilst retaining riding characteristics and desirability close to or better than existing products. This is made more challenging for niche vehicle manufacturers without the sales volumes to warrant development of a fully bespoke driveline. This feasibility study investigates the options and routes using available components in an innovative way and identifying where further R&D must be directed to develop any necessary new driveline technology and componentry to create a fully integrated system.
